Tom Anderson is a lifelong Alaskan and managing partner at Optima Public Relations. Beyond hosting talk radio in the Anchorage/Mat-Su markets since 2011, he is a former state legislator in Alaska and served on the Anchorage School Board, Zoning Board of Examiners & Appeals, Light & Power Commission, and Parking Authority. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and M.P.A. in Public Management from the University of Alaska, Anchorage, and Juris Doctorate from Hamline University School of Law in Minnesota.

Tom has managed Republican political campaigns and consulted as a political adviser for over 25 years; he is a freelance writer with published articles in Alaska Business Monthly Magazine, Arctic Sounder, Bristol Bay Times, Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman Newspaper and other Alaskan newspapers and magazines. Tom is a Rotarian, a member of the American Association of Political Consultants, and, through Optima, belongs to many chambers of commerce throughout the state.
